Short Description of Activity
WCA-PLC meeting talked about CORE-ACT unsuccessful attempt at passage, 30 by 30 proposal, and a ‘keep it in the ground” proposal. = 1 hr. The 30 by 30 presentation had strengths(Rep. DeGeghet comments) and weaknesses (approach was to pass protections for areas through the state legislature). = 2 hr. The White Mountain presentation was somewhat shocking and frustrating. 1.5 hour
Reflection/Evaluation
Discussion at WCA-PLC meeting was productive in that good suggestions were made, it is valuable to hear perspective of people from other communities, much knowledge was shared.
I hope there is more discussion happening somewhere about how the 30 by 30 proposal should be carried out and be truly effective.
