July 22, As well as talking about how oil & gas development are polluting the air in our national parks, especially in CO and NM, this was a talk about policy-making processes to protect the integrity of the parks, habitat connectivity and protect the clean air and visibility at national parks. Carlsbad Caverns and Rocky Mountain Nat’l; Parks were mentioned in particular with visibility impairment and health impacts to local populace (asthma in emergency rooms
July 23 – This webinar was about the journey of fracked gas through pipelines from well fields and contributions to the climate crisis, harming humans and environmental health and exploitation of communities. Action was in making voices heard.
July 29 – This was particularly interesting because our US Senator Tom Udall was presenting his 30 x 30 Plan as a solution to: nurture our spirits, sustain local economies and protect wildlife, to include collaboration of local ranches. It will protect biodiversity and stop the extinction crisis.
July 30 – This was about biological, mineralogical and chemical processes associated with climate change, based on research in Antarctica. It was way over my head and I did not listen to the entire program.
