This Town Hall discussed everything from environmental justice, to border wall, public lands protection acts to Holtec. Senator Udall was not running for re-election.

Reflection/Evaluation

Udall said that patience and vigilance is needed to count every single ballot. He remarked that the Voting Rights Act is vital but he doesn’t think it’s going to pass with a new Supreme Court ruling. He wants to get to a new normal as far as people of color, health, environment and move forward after we come out of the pandemic. He said we need a strong, civil democratic society, not a system run by the wealthy and dark money power. He initiated a For the People Act to say that disclosure is important . Other actions: Gila Wild & Scenic Rivers Act, Organ Mountains Protection Act, Valle Vidal Protection Act, Chaco Cultural Area Resources Act, Break Free from Plastics Act was introduced and he sponsored along with 3 thers, the 30 x 30 Initiative and the Native Voting Rights Act. There was a lot more. He said the border Wall is unconstitutional and is not responsibly administered.
