Phone communication between me and Broads office legal committee representative
Reflection/Evaluation
I was disappointed in the results of the decision by the Broads legal team, but willing to let the matter go. Some members of the GOBW legal team thought that they could take it up later if the Broads might be asked again to get involved in the matter of a legal case against BLM for not following NEPA rules for a mining operation on the borders of a BLM Wilderness Study Area in the Florida Mountains of NM. I was later told by a Friends of the Floridas representative that it was too late to sign on to the legal case. I just hope the other organizations who did sign on will be successful with this lawsuit and be able to stop the mine. It was worth it to me to stop the mine but my argument wasn’t strong enough.
