Short Description of Activity
Members of the National Office staff of Alaska Wilderness League provided us with an outlook as to what the change in administration would mean if it went through for sure!!
Reflection/Evaluation
Discussed what the election means for wild Alaska; the promises to protect 30 X 30, effects on Pebble mine, what the current administration might still do in the next 70 days i.e. Arctic NWR leases, Pebble Mine permits, seismic testing in the Arctic NWR; the stopping authority of the next administration; what might be done about the roadless rule exemption in the Tongass (Roadless Rule Protection Act in Congress); NPR-A issues with oil development; and Bristol Bay issues. Wonderful, comprehensive discussion and question/answer period following.
