Bi-monthly meeting of broads. Fun check in with each other.
Reflection/Evaluation
Discussion around PUD’s and need to educate the public exactly who/what they are. (Public owned utilities who actually use rate payers dollars to advertise). Kristine responded to a letter supporting hydro power by NW River Partners – needs to get into Bend Bulletin, but she is not local, so Mary will send her letter in on her behalf. Talked about upcoming legislature around beaver trapping on public lands – to outlaw the practice. Conversation around whether to have the rendezvous or not – pretty much unsure due to COVID, but if things change, PNW broads could fairly quickly pull something together. Conversation about additional COVID protocol’s as we go forward and people are getting vaccinated – may require proof of vaccination or negative COVID tests. The Sequim broadwalk is still tentatively planned for August.
