Short Description of Activity
At a regular Ouray County Board of County Commissioners, the commission was prepared to reappoint the current county representative to the Colorado River Water Conservation District (CRWCD) Broads disagreed with this appointment and felt there were two other applicants who were better qualified and would serve the county’s needs better and with more transparency.
Reflection/Evaluation
The meeting was well attended and about 30 comments were made opposing the reappointment and only two comments in favor of reappointment. Sadly (and so much for representing your constituents) the lame duck BOCC reappointed Marti Whitmore to serve as the county rep.
