Short Description of Activity
Margaret Meyncke, new BB leader in SoCal and I were to do a relational mtg. according to the script Lisa sent out for WALTS. I declared at the outset not looking forward to it, so Margaret and I did our own relational meeting with each other. Rebels. We started right after the WALTS meeting ended and chatted for probably 40 minutes, getting to know each other, what our BBs were doing, goals, family, work. She definitely has the ‘relational meeting’ skills already. Me? Not so much, but she was fun and easy to talk and share with and learn about.
Reflection/Evaluation
It was much more productive, valuable than following the script and still practiced what we were to do more or less. What I liked most was her saying that if she was going to do the SoCal BB leader she was ‘going to do it big’ and took half the state! Love it. She’s really jumped in and is going to rock! Evaluative: Would it have been more beneficial if we had followed the script. I don’t think so. This was genuine and real life with a productive outcome and someone I feel comfortable with and can work with easily.
