Short Description of Activity
Chatted with Linda Buckley- on Leadership Team for Cascade Volcanos BB in OR/southern WA. She likes being active part of the BB decision-making, likes ability of Team/group to innovate solutions and activities, likes having a bigger voice with a group. She is on the JEDI Team -Justice, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion. I love that! Lessons learned: Don’t be discouraged if membership numbers and participation is low, don’t forget to lean on other BBs, don’t be shy about promoting and celebrating your successes. Collaboration with agencies is key- early and ongoing. Resources she likes are GLOWcalls and CAREcalls (live and recorded) and Katya.
Reflection/Evaluation
Always good to hear a new perspective. This is a relatively large BB, since they cover Portland. Have almost a subTeam for the WA area since it is someone distant from Portland for meetings and some local issues.
