Reflection/Evaluation
Great presentation by Rob Klavins from Oregon Wild, regarding 21″ screens. Gave the history of this and concerns not only of cutting down trees over 21″ but also old trees. He shared that historically why this was done was that logging was unstainable and not economical. Placement of the rule was created more to protect wildlife than just deal with endangered wildlife. What needs to be put back in place is “Proforestatation: , let old trees continue to grow to maintain what we have vs/restoration of forests.
