Key Issue: Public Lands Health & Protection
Activity Type: Broadband Meeting (prep, implementation & follow up)
Key Partners: LWV of Grand County, Utah
Short Description of Activity
building upon a study by this name and resources on the LWV Grand County website we shared the information with our Broadband members and BB leaders around the country. Sally Sharp was our tech person with the screen share as well as Zoom invite and followup which took a great deal of time unaccounted for in my numbers. Carey Dabney, the author of the study, participated and did Q&A midway through and at the end of the presentation. Dave (SUWA) attended and voiced some concerns about LWV’s upcoming meeting with Congressman Curtis.
Reflection/Evaluation
I thought the attendance was good and was thrilled that other BB leaders were on the call and now have an idea of the resources available that may meet their needs. My goal was met because of that. There did not seem to be any “next steps” we might take, except to be vigilant. It took a great deal of time to prepare; multiple watchings of the video, phone call with Terri Martin (SUWA), emails and calls with Carey, reading other resources on their website, our BB leader meeting etc.
