Activity Type: Trainings (WALTS, CAREs/GLOWs, research, conferences, workshops, etc.)
Key Partners: Sites SW, NM Economic Development Dept.,
Short Description of Activity
This workshop covered the opportunities for grants in the state of NM. most of these grant opportunities are for trails projects and shovel ready projects to create nearby recreational opportunities for communities in NM, especially in smaller towns and rural areas. I have tried to find a recording or ppt or even an explanation of the training from Sites SW, but was unable to find anything.
Reflection/Evaluation
Most of these projects are too large for our broadband to undertake, but we might be able to add in-kind citizen science and volunteer hours to projects from grants that were awarded to larger entities, including some of the better funded NGO’s in the state like NMVFO, NMWA, etc.
