Member Recruitment Dance Party
Reflection/Evaluation
Loren and Kathy danced under the blinking red light in the center of Palmer, taking care to stay in the crosswalk lines, while waving the Great Old Broads banner. We periodically threw out handfuls of Great Old Broads literature and gifts such as stickers, bandannas etc. A large crowd quickly assembled as the people approaching from behind the banner realized that we were each wearing only 1 Broads bandanna plus, of course, a Broads hat (we do have our standards you know). The action resulted in even greater chances to promote the Broads as we were arrested and were able to practice our elevator speeches to many other inmates, as well as guards, at the Palmer Jail. We also go to share with a number of EMTs as we were treated for severe frostbite of unmentionable areas. This all took place on April 1st, 2021.
