Measurable Outcomes
Outcome 1: Trail/land monitored (1 surveys)
Short Description of Activity
Committee members held several meetings with Forest Service personnel to prepare for the field season, and to determine how the GOBs will be integrated with the Forest Service’s own monitoring. Two meetings were held at FS headquarters, and one at the Gila Bird Area. Two GOBS monitored the Gold Gulch Riparian Area and a survey was completed. Post-field trip activities included putting together reports for the FS of previous field trips, and working on last month’s activity report.
Reflection/Evaluation
Much progress was made in March in integrating GOB monitoring efforts with the Forest Service efforts via their interns. We will be working with the interns from the Wilderness and Silver City Ranger Districts. We hope to meet with the personnel from the other districts as well, to see how we might fit into their efforts.
