Short Description of Activity
Monitoring numerous sources of information on policies and events influencing wild lands and wildlife management in Montana, in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. The Montana state legislature is engaged in a ‘war on wildlife’ and wilderness, which we actively work to defeat. The Montana Constitution ensures that citizens have a right to a clean and healthful environment, and that much of the bad legislation will require a court challenge to undo.
Reflection/Evaluation
Our outcome or progress is poor, because the governor continues to sign into law many extremely bad measures. The situation provides us much ongoing work to do, to inform and educate Broads members of opportunities for public comment and actions to attempt to influence these matters.
