Short Description of Activity
Diane Spooner is sampling at two sites. She makes one trip a month to both sites. Judith Lopez has one site in Confluence Park in Delta that is sampled monthly. Samples are taken each time and submitted for assessment of metals. Protocols are done by Diane and Judith monthly to determine Oxygen levels, alkalinity , hardness, and pH. Other data is provided to River Watch on water temperature and river flow. Twice a year at high and low flow Nutrients samples are taken. Data is reported to River Watch and CPW. In addition this month both volunteers were tested with “unknown” samples from the River Watch organization. Diane had a face to face assessment with River Watch Staff. Two months of metal samples were submitted through post office by Judith along with two months of forms and unknown results.
Reflection/Evaluation
Goal is being met to provide consistent data on the river to aid with decisions about its health and uses.
