Short Description of Activity

Judith Lopez went to the Adobe Badlands site four times in April and picked up a bag of trash each time, mostly shell casings and broken glass and beer cans. There has been a significant reduction in other waste since she has been regularly picking up the site. BLM has not come to pick up the furniture that was disposed there yet and visitors have thrown it and broken it up into smaller pieces across the area. There continues to be evidence out on the dunes that 4 wheelers and bicycles ae being used. Judith went further out on to the dunes where trash had been spotted from the parking lot and found the trash was ceramic dinner plates that had been shattered as targets presumably, estimated at about 15 pounds worth. Melanie Reese monitors an area at Roubideu and beyond. She monitored one time in April. She has reported to BLM her findings.
