Short Description of Activity

Lu, Micky, Nancy, and Laurie went out to Peterson Prairie campground to determine the size and options for tents and vehicles. We also explored Conboy Wildlife Refuge and Goose Lake on the way back.

Reflection/Evaluation

The purpose of the outing was to determine the number of vehicles and tents that the sites could accommodate. We determined that there were 25 tent sites which could accommodate up to 23 vehicles. Unfortunately, the fee for extra cars is 50% of the cost of the sites so we will need to determine the cost based on extra vehicles and allow people who carpool to have a discount. Another concern is that the check in time isn’t until 4pm which doesn’t leave much time for fun. I am so pleased that we are able to have our annual campout this year even though it will cost more than last year with the individual sites. Goose Lake was disappointing but Peterson Prairie sites were large, shaded, and secluded.
