Short Description of Activity
Field trip and 1 mile hike to document marker location for proposed Malone Mine exploration within Gila National Forest. We did this on the Gold Gulch road portion of proposed mineral exploration, and close to or within the Gold Gulch riparian area. Location description, including GPS coordinates were taken and submitted in report form, along with observations, to Gila Resources Information Project Director.
Reflection/Evaluation
Yes. Report was well received, and one of us met with GRIP Director afterwards regarding status of this and several other ongoing mining issues.
