Short Description of Activity
Sierra Club Water Sentinels asked Great Old Broads to go out to Perkinsville Bridge and measure waterflow. Jenny Cobb, Bros Gary Beverly, and Tom Slaback measured waterflow on the Upper Verde River. Gary had invited a photographer from the AZ Republic and has been meeting with one of their writers hoping to do a series of articles on the Upper Verde and also on the conditions at Perkinsville Bridge whhich are an ongoing issue wiith the PNF.
Reflection/Evaluation
We haven’t measured waterflow since 9/1/2020 and before that 6/22/20. It was important to take a pre-monsoon measurement. It rained a little yesterday and we cannot determine why the waterflow today was 11.0 and a year ago 8.9. It is good of course that in a time of drought the waterflow was not at the lowest point.
