Short Description of Activity
Quarterly meeting of the RAC team via ZOOM. Covered various issues about forests, rivers and other interests in Central/Eastern/Northeastern Oregon.
Reflection/Evaluation
Good updates. Lots of discussion regarding concerns about fires this summer as conditions and fire restrictions are a month early. Many agencies are still looking at logging as a means to deal with climate change. There will be many members of the team that their appointments end in July which I am again trying to be a participant. One highlight was 3 individuals who were adamantly opposed Wyden’s wild and scenic waterways bill….much of what they shared doesn’t seem accurate information. Contacted Jamie with Oregon Wild who will see if she can reach out with accurate information.
