Short Description of Activity

This webinar re-started the regular CFLRP All Hands Web Meetings – former, current, and potential future CFLRP practitioners and partners.
We will use this time to share updates, take stock of needs and opportunities in the CFLRP community, and hear from both CFLRP alumni and new projects alike. This web meeting will provide an opportunity for the CFLRP community to come together to hear and discuss program updates from various perspectives.

At this all hands web meeting, we will:
Engage participants in dialogue between those in the U.S. Forest Service who work with CFLRPs both locally and nationally and local partners engaged with CFLRPs,
Exchange important information between partners engaged with CFLRPs, and
Gather reflections on lessons learned through CFLRP and implications for collaborative restoration moving forward.

Reflection/Evaluation

Unfortunately, we didn’t receive clear information on why certain projects are funded, extended or neither of the two. That makes it hard to find a way to finish the monitoring part of the project. Funding was for 10 years, but the monitoring extends 5 years after that, and the funding does not. Not a good policy, but then money for forest restoration is not a priority these years. LWCF requested $80 million, but there is less than 1/2 of that for all new projects and extensions of the old projects.
