Short Description of Activity
This webinar by Consumer Reports was designed to look for signs of illegal activity on social media and the internet. I decided to include it here because at least two friends have been hacked and lost money and security in the last two weeks, and I often get several similar pfishing emails every week. I don’t want to pass these viruses on to the Broadband in our group emails.
Here are a few links to underscore the things that were talked about during the workshop.

Report a Dark Pattern on the new Dark Patterns Tip Line – view the sightings to see more real life examples
In many states you can file a Dark Patterns complaint with your state Attorney General.
You can also share your comments with the FTC until the end of May.
This game is an immersive and funny (if frustrating!) way to understand Dark Patterns.
Reflection/Evaluation
I am still trying to find time to finish watching the recording of the webinar – I was traveling on that day and internet was mostly unavailable.
