Reflection/Evaluation
The best thing about this meeting was the update from the USFS Region 3 representative about the August release of the final EISs for the 3 northern forests, including the responses to comments. This will begin the objection period for the final EIS, and there will be a lot to object to! The recommended wilderness acreage is incredibly minimal, and we will need to get together as a Broadband to find our comments that would give us standing, and file objections to the findings and responses in the final EIS. It is a heavy lift to track down the comments from the last DEIS and draft Forest Plan in 10/2019, but I have already started locating the comments. Virginia Seiser has said she will work with on this, and I certainly hope there will be others…TWS, NMWA, Sierra Club, etc.
