Key Partners: Forest Service
Measurable Outcomes
Outcome 1: Hiked (9 miles)
Outcome 2: Other (23 people)
Short Description of Activity
Barb Fox Kilgore and Sarah Madsen Solitude monitored 6 miles in Zone 1 Multnomah Area counting 23 hikers, 3 dogs, 3 low flying planes. The Franklin Ridge trail has been unattended with vegetation so thick the trail cannot be seen and is extremely difficult to navigate. No people were seen on this trail and the observed traffic was on the main loop.
We made a counterclockwise approach feeling there would be more people on the main trail later in the day
Reflection/Evaluation
Goals and objectives were met. Being a fairly popular trail on a Sunday the number of people encountered were spaced apart offering solitude in the hike.
