Outcome 1: Event Attendees (12 people)
Short Description of Activity
We met Nichole Fox up at the Silverton Vistors Center to learn about the importance of Beavers in our landscape to preserve water and create a healthy ecosystem for other animals. We drove to 3 sights near-by to view and discuss the Beaver lifespan, view abandoned lodges, and living lodges. We saw how the beaver damns create the ponds that filter the water.
Reflection/Evaluation
The goal was education and fun. We learned a lot about Beavers and their significance but also had many healthy discussions about how we need to protect the planet in a way that speaks to us as individuals.
