Short Description of Activity
First of 4 Durango staff led meetings to prepare for the Oct.31-Nov.5 advocacy trip to D.C. It was mostly introductions and why we each applied to go. Logistics and questions were given and answered by staff. 10 participants were there, 2 MIA.
Reflection/Evaluation
It was great to see the smiling faces of those who will be participating! Two take aways of import: 1. Share your stories, why it’s important to me, which will marry with the talking points on the issues. 2. Listen, be succinct, ask questions, be relational. I look forward to the remaining meetings and will text my busy sister to remind her the day of, next time!
