Short Description of Activity
Letter response with the Leave No race organization regarding the continue use of campfires especially in the back country and the need to re-educate outdoor participants in more environmental friendly practices in light of climate change and extreme drought conditions and high fire risk.
Reflection/Evaluation
I felt the response from LNT was we agree with you but we will still continue to support campfire use but with teaching safe practices regarding campfires. In light of fires, drought conditions and current climate change trends I feel the LNT organization is not keeping current with education and behavior modification in regard to the changing environmental demands and conditions.
