Reflection/Evaluation
Rally for the River, sponsored by the Whale and Dolphin Conservancy got lots of publicity and was well attended in Seattle, as well as Spokane, Boise, Portland, Eugene and Corvallis. Bill Moyer was very engaged in the rally criticizing elected officials for their lack of action. Broads signed onto the NMFS letter and others RE limiting fishing where Orcas are feeding and supporting more science to better understand Orca behavior. There was strong support to overturn Trump’s decision on Orcas. It was apparent that removing the four Lower Snake River Dams is on Interior Secretary Holland’s radar.
