Short Description of Activity
These Tres Pistolas Project team meetings occur on Mondays early in every month. The purpose is to generate problem statements, desired conditions, and recommended management actions for the project area. (These 6 project teams were created in 2019 to make recommendations to the district ranger for management of projects to improve the forest.) I am the team leader for the Tres Pistolas team. We met this summer on 7/12, 8/2 and 9/6. Each zoom meeting usually lasts for 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours, and is attended by between 4-9 team members.
Reflection/Evaluation
The team has created a table of Problem statements, Desired Conditions, and Recommended Management Actions for the collaborative and the Sandia Ranger district. Working with the template provided has caused many headaches because the format is designed to work on a PC and not on a Mac. Sometimes Google docs can be used, but usually not. The final product is a 13 page Powerpoint Slide Show which will be presented for the full collaborative on 9/21 for There have been many edits back and forth in the last three months. I can only hope to be free of changing things after the full collaborative meeting this September. It will then be presented to the district ranger to be considered for the 2022 -2023 SCOPE (district projects.) I can send the final table, but I think the file will again be too big to be used.
