Short Description of Activity

A small group met to discuss how to respond to the DEIS and Draft Forest Plan for the Lincoln NF. We chose topics/areas we should focus on, so no one person has to do the whole plan and EIS. I will work on wilderness issues and restoration issues, and I am hoping Linda will work on cave and wilderness issues. We also decided to each take one or more of three dates that the Lincoln NF will be offering zoom meetings to discuss issues and responses to comments.

Reflection/Evaluation

Linda and I both had comments that we submitted, so we will both need to look at the FS’s responses to our comments. their preferred alternative is very weak in terms of the amount of recommended wilderness. I spent about four hours reading the DEIS and finding our comments, and hope to do more reading in early October for the second forest meeting on 10/12.
