Activity Type: Stewardship (monitoring, sampling, planting, etc.)
Key Partners: Caribou-Targhee NF, Wyoming Wilderness Association
Landscape/area: Jedediah Smith Wilderness (123896 acres)
Measurable Outcomes
Outcome 1: Trail/land monitored (4 surveys)
Short Description of Activity
WHALES continue monitoring trips to 6 trails in the Jedediah Smith Wilderness
Reflection/Evaluation
Response from the WHALES exceeded expectations, and all seem to be happy to help the Forest Service manage the wilderness in our own back yards. We have completed the 10 trips per trail that were asked of us, and the CTNF staff has asked us to gather additional data.
