Measurable Outcomes
Outcome 1: Clean-up (2 Other)
Short Description of Activity
Judith Lopez monitors the Adobe Badlands WSA while Melanie Reese monitors Roubideaux site. Both watch for signs of illegal use of the site and pick up trash that has been left. Judith went two times to her site and has notice drastic level of reduction in people leaving trash. Also now that 4 wheeler entry via the parking lot has been blocked by barriers by BLM, no problem of entry from this location.
Reflection/Evaluation
It is an ongoing task to keep the BLM land free of trash and to monitor the use of bicycles and motorized vehicles on the land. The reduction in trash is a positive finding of late and perhaps the fact that trash is not present encourages visitors to not contribute to trash at these sites.
