Reflection/Evaluation
Kathleen and Robin noted 2 people on the trail with no dogs or low elevation flights. No campsites were monitored as all were vacant. Kathleen had driven and left her car at the Herman Creek TH. Unfortunately, she got her car vandalized and her catalytic converter stolen. She had to have her car towed back to Portland and was without a vehicle for about a week. This has been a big problem in Portland and other places. We are advised not to park at this TH any longer. More remote THs like Whatum Lake or Rainy Lake CG would be safer. We shared this information at our meeting last month.
