Reflection/Evaluation

There is a good group keeping the eye on what is going on legislatively regarding our forests and policies being developed to protect our forests. Also involved with decisions being made of who will be on the Department of Forestry’s board. The Western Oregon Forest Management Plan and Habitat Conservation Plan – their goals are being developed, so keeping a close eye….Many of these folks simply do not realize old growth stores more carbon than young trees. For the most part most of what is going on with this group is more focused on the west side of the Cascades.
