Reflection/Evaluation

On going work to attempt to get fish passage on the Mirror Pone. Several key players joined in with a total of 6 people. Advisory committee update was given…still basically battling with Pacifi-corp to put in fish ladder. Opportunity to send comments to the public and discussed what those comments should address. One is the concerns of who is paying for any hopes of a fish ladder or even the decommissioning of the dam, let alone the turbins. There is also a group who would like to also have a design that would allow kayaks and floaters to also float below the dam. Screening is also an issue. This group has been meeting on a regular basis….Not sure how much the public is aware of what is or is not happening, as there has not been much information sent out to the public about this issue….Seems that the Pacifi-corp folks will continue to kick this down the street to stall. At any rate the Park District and the City are looking at bringing in some kind of contractor or engineer to look at this, but no one knows who is paying for this….
