Short Description of Activity
California Lobby Team #3 facilitated by Maureen Forney met on Zoom to discuss upcoming lobby meetings on November 2 and 3.
Reflection/Evaluation
It was my first lobby team meeting and I felt a little behind. Maureen went fast. She explained how the scheduling works. She talked about the different ways they select who they want to lobby. We talked about using the 30×30 umbrella and nesting different bills underneath. I was assigned a Wilderness Refuge Bill by Congressman Ken Calvert since he is close to my district. I was asked to schedule a meeting with Congressman Obernolte and reach out to constituents on my Broadband roster as well as the Public Lands Network with CALWILD. All good, valuable experience.
