Reflection/Evaluation
This was an educational tour of a wetlands/riparian area outside the city that uses treated water from homes in the area to support a riparian area. It is an ecological example of how the area looked 100 years ago,
and how water transforms it. We learned not only how this works scientifically, but where our water goes after we use it. The tour was a good starting point for our main theme this year which is “water.” Again, the goal of having several people attend was not met. Scheduling was done by the tour guides from ASU and we did not have input for the timing. However, another group was with us for the tour, and five of those attendees expressed interest in the Great Old Broads. We have been in contact with them.
