Short Description of Activity
Diane Spooner reported “sampled and tested at the three sites and did Nutrients Samples at 3 sites. ( CR 24/Below Ridgway Reservoir/ confluence of Unc at Cow Creek)”. Judith Lopez sampled at one site in Confluence Park, Delta, before the Uncompahgre merges with the Gunnison. She also took the bi-yearly Nutrient samples in addition to the regular monthly sampling for metals, and a sample to conduct protocols for Ph, hardness, alkalinity, and oxygenation. Nutrient samples had to be kept cold and mailed along with the normal metal samples. Data forms are copied and retained while originals are mailed Data is also entered on the River Watch Website as well as reported on the CPW website.
Reflection/Evaluation
Goal is being met to provide consistent data on the river to aid with decisions about its health and uses.
