Short Description of Activity
With partner Western Slope Conservation Center, we hosted a comment writing workshop for the Grand Mesa Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests Plan Revision. We had 2 Broads speak as well as the WSCC person. Attendance was small but they were engaged and seemed interested in sending in comments. We used the tip writing sheets developed by Broads for a previous workshop as well as WSCC tip sheets.
Reflection/Evaluation
Could have spent more time in promoting the event. WSCC was in charge of promotion and we were all busy preparing comments ourselves. Difficult to hold in-person workshop during COVID. Nice to have 3 Broads participate as speakers -two were real experts in their area and that passion and knowledge really comes through in presentations. Brought food as snacks but not much eaten, so don’t need to emphasize this in future.
