Broadchat with Mary Wahl who is chair on the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission.
Reflection/Evaluation
5 of the 7 commissioners are women; The commission takes input from the public.. Environment is in transition. They have a public forum every month and open to public input with guidelines to be concise and clear and your comments are heart felt. “Name the Ask”. Thru the advisory committee is the best process for public comment. They have a $450 billion dollar budget. Climate change is a priority. Are also involved in wildlife corridors. As far as economics, the price to replace the resource goes up vs/ fee four services.
This was a very informative session with many questions coming from our membership. Felt like we opened up a good dialog with Mary and working with ODFW.
