Multiple engagement opportunities (both educational and advocacy) related to local, regional and national issues including BLM land transfer, Tri-state Power/Electric Resource Plan/oil & gas, Valle Seco land transfer objection meeting, winter road closure limiting access to public lands, local paving project
Reflection/Evaluation
The Valle Seco objection meeting was by far the most informative as I’d never attended such a meeting before and the issues raised by our coalition were received and considered. Time will tell if they actually change the outcome. NSJ Broads decided not to participate in the winter road closure litigation via an amicus brief and we offered some networking around the local paving project but won’t be engaging as a BB. Comment period for the Electric Resource Plan ends in January and we will likely send out an action alert, but for this report we are only logging the time spent learning about the Plan.
