Short Description of Activity
Attended Red Road to D.C. gathering at Chief Timothy Park. Several Broads joined other local partners at the Snake River where four dams have impeded the life cycle of salmon and the Traditional Fish Treaty Rights of the Nez Perce and other Indigenous communities.
Reflection/Evaluation
As allies we were there supporting the Native American tribes and mission. Several NOP Broads have had a close alliance with the Nez Perce and Lummi for several years. This gathering in Nez Perce territory began the journey to Washington D.C. Supporting Rep Simpson Initiative was a focus.
