Short Description of Activity
All We Can Save – climate change discussion focussed on actions we might take here + 3 hours, Meeting with BLM Staff focussed on WSA and LWC inventory, oil and gas issues, and planning to meet as a group quarterly. =2 hours. Stewardship of NCA’s started as a New Dimension class that Chris taught. After the class ( 2 hours) a couple of people expressed wanting to know when stewardship activities were happening and how they might be involved. Chris Libby and I met to discuss adult stewardship organization and made a plan to call a meeting of others who might be interested in working on a structure and funding for doing that. (2 hours) . Climate change ties in to this discussion because of various activities we all are doing related to ecological restoration. We will meet again in January with the larger group.
Reflection/Evaluation
Climate change – Sent the Tallamy article to all members and Tanya sent us information about joining the City forestry groupie their effort to use native plants. Most people seem interested in work on this. The BLM/environmental conversations will be ongoing and I think valuable. The adult Stewardship organization I’m not sure about as we haven’t gotten far, but there seems to be a need.
