Short Description of Activity
I’ve been representing the Central OR Bitterbrush Broads on this committee for several years now. The goal of the group is to find a balance of allocating limited water resources in the basin to agriculture and municipal interests, while still protecting adequate flows in the Deschutes River. The river never gets enough, but there’ve been improvements forced by a recently completed Habitat Conservation Plan.
Reflection/Evaluation
Progress in this group is painfully slow, but many constituents are at least “at the table.”
