Measurable Outcomes
Outcome 1: Stream/river sampled (2 samples)
Short Description of Activity
Diane Spooner sampled at one site below the Ridgway Reservoir. Her normal sampling procedures done with another person have been altered due to covid. Judith Lopez sampled at her site in Confluence Park. Both sites are on the Uncompahgre River. Samples are collected, filtered and unfiltered, to be mailed off and assessed by a laboratory for Metals. Other samples are collected monthly to be assessed by the volunteer for oxygenation, Ph, hardness and alkalinity. All data are reported on line to River Watch. Written documents are submitted at a minimum of every other month along with the metal samples and any other samples that may be required periodically.
Reflection/Evaluation
Goal is being met to provide consistent data on the river to aid with decisions about its health and uses. Samples are being provided to River Watch further analysis of metals.
