Short Description of Activity
Four Broads participated in a Bird Watching Nature Hike at the Tualatin Nature Park in Beaverton Oregon.
We identified 20 species of birds, and saw and heard Wood Duck, Green-winged Teal, Anna’s Hummingbird, Stellar’s Jay, Pacific Wren, Ruby-Crowned Kinglet, Black-capped and Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Red-breasted Nuthatch and a Pileated Woodpecker.
Reflection/Evaluation
We wore our rain suits to combat the dismal forecast but the sun came out and it was fun exploring this area that some of us had never been to.
Enjoyed strawberry yogurt covered pretzels as the Valentine Treat.
