Short Description of Activity
The Cascade Volcanoes Equity and Justice committee organizeda movie night to view the Warrior Women documentary, followed by a discussion period prompted by provided discussion questions. Seven people were present.
Popcorn and cookies served.
Reflection/Evaluation
Interesting and thought-provoking movie with parallels to what is currently happening with Russia and Ukraine. The discussion questions start kicked the conversation but sharing of personal experiences with indigenous groups took the lead. Good observations were made viewing the movie. Understanding of the importance for people, for families, for a community to come together share their passions support and work together to reach their goals.
