Short Description of Activity
A large group of hikers, mostly GOBs but a few non-members who are considering joining. This first hike of year was intneded to attract new members, share current GOB information and celebrate two birthdays-both women who were turning 81 years old. The 11.5 mile hike was organized to be a shuttle and to experience different parts of the MacDonald Forest and Peavy Arboretum. The lunch stop included birthday cake and candles. (Planning was longer because of making shuttle arrangements during COVID and changing registrations.)
Reflection/Evaluation
Everyone reported having a great time, being pleased with their hiking ability (this was longer than several woman currently hike) and it will likely result in one or two new members.
