Short Description of Activity
Letters requesting that cutting down of old growth and mature trees west on bend, in particular the Phil’s trail area to the Forest Service, City Council and a County COmmissioner.
Reflection/Evaluation
Trees are being cut down that are 21″ and bigger. Despite there being many mature trees, they are not taking them into consideration when it comes to how they can become old growth. The pretense is that this will protect Bend from wildfires- which we know thinning simply doesn’t solve that issue.
